AMIE/IME memberships are non formal, off campus programs. It is not distance or correspondence programs. Both are recognized programs in India and abroad also. These courses provide ample job opportunities to all membership holders in all governments and non governments organizations. As AMIE/IME member you can get following opportunities -: 
• You can join any IIT, IIM, NIT, IIIT and Government institute for higher education like ME/M.Tech, MBA, PGDM or any fellowship program.
• You can appear for UPSC Examination.
• You can apply for any state Government vacancy like in PWD, Irrigation, Electricity department or any technical vacancy in any state government organization. 
• You can apply for all central government organizations like BSNL, MTNL, railways, Banks etc.
• You can apply for all defence jobs in Army, Air force, Navy as technical engineer.
• You can prepare for IAS, IES and Indian railways Examination.
• You can join all PSUs like BHEL, BEL, NTPC, NHPC, GAIL, ONGC, SAIL etc. as engineer.
